THERE is a buzz at the Busselton Tennis Club with a bumper new season expected to get into full swing soon.
While the grass courts are being prepared for play, the women’s pennant players are in training for their bid to better their three flag wins last season.
The club are also looking to field nine teams in the South West Zone competition starting October 15.
Recently Busselton’s Sandy Sigelski, Erica Franklin, Tracy Adams and Gary Stokes teamed up with Dunsborough’s John McCallum, Greg Banfield and Jenny Clark for the recent Tri-City Challenge in Mandurah.
The South West team had some impressive wins but the might of Mandurah prevailed.
This season, the club’s diverse range of playing options include social games and team competitions along with night team events open to all.
A revamped Friday junior session conducted by the club coach will begin shortly and will be open to kids of all ages.
