TWO fisherman off Dunsborough had a close encounter with a 3.5 metre great white shark on Thursday.
Ash Roberts and John Borlini were landing a dhufish when the great white snapped their 60 centimetre catch off the line.
The pair posted video footage of their experience on social media on Sunday.
"As you can see in the video, it took my catch in a single bite," Mr Roberts said.

Earlier this year a large amount of shark sightings between the Capes kept the rescue helicopter busy over the Easter weekend.
Numerous surfers and swimmers were cleared from several South West beaches over Easter as a result of shark sightings from Surf Life Saving WA’s Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter.
The Rescue Helicopter crew sighted 25 sharks, mostly between 2 metres and 3.5 metres in length, as well as more than a dozen one metre Hammerhead sharks.
It was not possible to identify the species of the larger sharks in the majority of cases.
The South West Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter patrols between Binningup, north of Bunbury, south to Augusta, a distance of some 180 kilometres.
The extended patrols started in late September 2014.
Surf Life Saving WA’s Aviation Services Manager Peter Scott said South West summer patrols finished after school went back in February.
