Police have charged three men with bashing a Carey Park resident at his home on May 10 in an alleged home burglary.
Police claim about 6.25pm a man approached the 23-year-old victim's house and knocked on the door.
"The victim answered and after a short conversation the two men engaged in a physical altercation on the porch," WA Police spokeswoman Susan Usher said.
"During this time, two other men have run up to the porch and attacked the victim with machetes while demanding cash and property.
"The victim managed to run to a neighbour's house for help and the three men left the area."
South West Detectives charged each man with aggravated home burglary and commit, aggravated armed assault with intent to rob and threats to injure, endanger or harm.
A 25-year-old man of no fixed address will appear before Bunbury Magistrates Court on Thursday.
A 33-year-old and a 26-year-old man, both of Australind, made initial appearances at Bunbury Magistrates Court earlier this week.
???The victim of the assault sustained multiple injuries and was treated at hospital for cuts to his hand and head, and bruising and abrasions over his body.
