CQ University achieved a new ranking with the Times Higher Education Rankings placing the university at number 77 in the Asia-Pacific University Rankings.
The ranking comes just months after the university was recognised in the World’s Top 100 Young Universities by the Times Higher Education Rankings at number 90 and placed within the top 500 universities worldwide.
The 2017 Times Higher Education Asia-Pacific University Rankings rank 243 universities in the Asia-Pacific region, and are based on the same criteria as the the World University Rankings.
The rankings are based upon 13 separate performance indicators across all of the university’s core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
CQ University vice-chancellor Scott Bowman said the ranking was yet another indication of the university’s growing reputation as a leader in higher education.
“CQ University is one of the most inclusive and engaged universities in the Asia-Pacific region and we pride ourselves on our deep engagement with communities, industry and other universities in the region,” he said.
CQU will setup a study hub in Busselton at the old visitor centre this year for students who study externally giving them a space for learning and an opportunity to connect with other students.
