An exceptional display of bowls was on show at the Busselton Finance Open Pairs on February 16.
More than 20 teams competed in competed in the annual bowls day.
Teams from Capel, Bunbury, Dunsborough and Busselton were all represented.
Three teams won all their games, so the winner came down to a shot count.
Capel Bowls Club duo Steve O’Brien and Peter Hodson took out the day by one shot.
With 39, they marginally edged on Busselton Bowls Club pair Ray Gywnne and Ian Pennington on 38.
Again, only a whisker was in it, with Busselton Bowls Club twosome Don Rogers and Ralph Groenheide coming in third with 37.
Busselton Bowls Club mens captain Wayne Coyle said it was a very successful day of bowls.
“There were lots of fantastic games, which is reflected in such close results, it came down to a matter of shots,” he said.
“It was a day of quality bowls and we thank our sponsors Busselton Finance.”
