The Capel Landcare Conservation District Committee will lead a clean up event this Sunday on the Bussell Highway Reserve.
The clean up efforts will cover bush land on the south side of the Bussell Highway between Harewoods Road and Lakes Road.
Volunteer Brett Cox said the reserve was a fantastic stretch of bush with a diverse amount of flora and fauna.
“Unfortunately the reserve has also been the easy option for a minority of individuals who over a long period have dumped household and to a lesser extent, commercial rubbish, in the area,” he said.
“This is a terrific opportunity for local individuals and or family groups to get together with other like-minded people to take back ownership of a unique piece of South West bush land and help to restore it closer to its original beauty.”
Clean up registration will begin at 8.45am at Harewoods Road, Dalyellup and Lakes Road, Stratham.
