The cafe is remnants of an old church and school, it now sits within the walls of a shopping centre. The old school and chapel were, once upon a time, surrounded by sunflowers.
"It represents a slice of history," Mr Ansell said.
"The sunflowers are a historical re-imagining of what used to be around the area.
"The mural tells a bit about local history and is a way to convey stories through images, visual storytelling.
"The images help inform people about their surroundings and its relationship with people in this area.
"I really enjoy working on historical pieces, whether that's with local governments or businesses and looking at re-interpretation history or something literal on events of the past to illustrate a point for better recognition or education.
The heritage listed church was originally built in 1866 and was part of a school.
