Busselton Jets junior rugby team played at Bunbury’s Hay Park on Sunday where they had mixed results.
The under-7s played two tough games against the Bulls and Barbarians. They all tried their best and in return got amazing results.
They all came off the field exhausted and very pleased with themselves.
Team manager Donna Green said there were some very proud parents on the sideline and the boys deserved a pat on the back.
The under-9s had another tough encounter with the Bulls, showing tenacity and courage and team manager Julie Darby said they were really gelling as a team.
The under-11s had another tough game and have improved, with Hemi Leef showing glimpses of his potential. Renee Linfoot says the final score was not a true indication of the level of play.
The under-13s were outplayed and out-manoeuvred in all facets of the game. Credit must go to Tiarn Paulin who upped the team morale, and they are looking forward to having another game next week.
The under 15’s played hard, but could not replicate last week’s game and lost 30-12 with Dylan Trolove–Henley playing hard all game.
He had good support from Aaron McFarlane and Rory O’Keefe. while Scott Adams and John Crosbie tackled hard and turned over good ball.
This Sunday is a home game and the Jets look forward to seeing plenty of supporters. For more information about the club please contact 0457 176 398.
