St Joseph’s School held the Adidas School Fun Run to raise much needed funds for its library.
Over the past three years the event has helped schools around Australia to raise more than $9.1 million to purchase computers, books, sporting equipment as well as other resources.
The school’s parents and friends vice president Leicha Fuller said it was the first time they had taken part in the event and it had been a success.
“It went really well and we saw great community and school spirit at the event,” she said.
Mrs Fuller said the fun run presented an excellent platform for students to get excited and involved in physical activity.
She wanted to thank the school’s sport teacher Ben Priest for his involvement as well as congratulate all of the students who participated.
The fun run’s partner Bupa supplied students with sweatbands and a banana, for a healthy energy boost.
