BUSSELTON’S Southern Skydivers are still celebrating the three awards it won at the Margaret River Region 2014 Business Awards.
The tourist based business received Small Business Development Corporation - Small Business of the Year Award, Tourism Excellence Award and The Western Australian Regional Small Business Award Category Advancement Winner: Business 5-10 Employees.
Southern Skydivers opened in 2010 and the awards recognise the business’s contribution to the tourism economy in the Margaret River Region.
Southern Skydivers marketing manager Amy Stutt said the nomination and submission process was a fantastic way to show off what they do best.
“Winning these awards has opened up new doors for Southern Skydivers, and we have made some fantastic connections for our business,” she said.
Southern Skydivers were chosen as finalist in the three categories they won in by a panel of eight judges including judges from QANTAS, Curtin University and The Peel Development Commission.
The judging process included an onsite inspection alongside a written submission form.
Southern Skydivers will now qualify to enter their business at the regional level in September 2014, where they will compete with businesses from all over Western Australia.
