CORNERSTONE Christian College turned up the amps last week with its first ever musical concert held by the secondary school.
Students, parents and community members rocked up in droves to celebrate the talented musicians and watch them perform at the school.
Student services and event coordinator David Van Der Tang said he was pleased with the night.
“It was exciting to be able to put on a music performance that was so well supported by the community,” he said.
“And to have our students perform at the level they did was inspiring.”
Three students from years 7 and 8 gave a presentation of soundscapes which included Trip on the Ghan, heavy metal and Life on the Streets.
Other acts included solo guitar and piano performances, and group performances from the Cornerstone vocal ensemble, drum line and St Mary's quartet.
A highlight of the night was the Tom Broadbent Trio featuring Thomas Broadbent on electric and steel guitar, Ned Broadbent on bass and Connor Hansen on drums.
