THE Trevor’s Carpet Autumn Carnival was so named by the Dunsborough and Districts Country Club to recognise fifteen years of sponsorship.

Over two days 28 teams took to the greens with a Busselton team led by men’s singles champion of the South West league Matthew Pennington claiming the event with 22 points.
This was the first time Pennington had teamed with Wally Dawson, Peter Fancote and Graham Evans but their strong performance suggests it won’t be their last.
“I enjoy coming to play at the Dunsborough club,” Pennington said.
“I have been coming to this carnival for five years and enjoy it immensely.
“The people are friendly and we are all in awe of the generous sponsorship.
“I will definitely be bringing my team back next year to attempt to win back-to-back titles.”
Rod Gumbleton from Halls Head came second.
