The event, which tees off at 10am at the Busselton Golf Club, looks to shine a light on leukaemia and the work of the Leukaemia Foundation.
Money raised from the event will assist in providing personalised care and support to patients, families and their carers living with blood cancer and related blood disorders.
Wyndham general manager Damien Keenan said the resort picks a charity that is part of the community to help out each year, as part of Wyndham’s community outreach program.
“We have a couple of staff that really support the local Leukaemia Foundation, so we wanted to support them and support the foundation itself,” he said.
The Busselton base of the Leukaemia Foundation provides support services free of charge to patients and their families, including information, resources, education and support programs, emotional support, transport and a ‘home away from home’ in Perth for the duration of the treatment for the patient and their family.
The Leukaemia Foundation receives no ongoing government funding and relies on the generous support from the community to continue to provide these services.
Entry to the Two Ball Ambrose event is $50 per person, and includes a light lunch, supper, and the chance to win a number of prizes.
