A new business which offers something unique to the South West is a finalist in the WA Tourism Award.
Grape Escape claims to be the only business in WA to offer dog friendly winery tours.
The owners Paul and Geri Lanyon created the Pawesome Tours because they believe that everyone’s fur-babies are part of the family and therefore deserve to be part of the fun.
“We would always take our own four legged friends on holidays with us and loved to experience the region on a tour but we often felt guilty leaving them at home all day in a strange environment,” Mr and Mrs Lanyon said.
With their love of dogs, food, wine and the Margaret River region Paul and Geri knew they were onto something good with Grape Escape.
For the wine and food lovers without a pet, Grape Escape does offer more than the Pawesome Tours.
“The Margaret River region has so many pet friendly venues, we knew we just had to offer a tour that allows the whole family to come along,” Mr and Mrs Lanyon said.
For those who are missing their pets or don’t have one but are also dog lovers, Grape Escape offer up their fur-babies for the day.
People have the choice of their French bulldog or Great Dane as a companion while enjoying the Margaret River region.
The pair have found its popularity grew once they were Urbanlisted and received a great response from the public.
The demand for the Pawesome Tours has grown so much that 60 per cent of its business is for the dog friendly tours.
