Lanterns illuminated Busselton Foreshore on Saturday night when the Leukaemia Foundation’s Light the Night was held.
Money raised from the event goes towards providing emotional and practical support for local families facing blood cancer.
The night also acted as a ceremony to remember and reflect on those affected by the disease.
Local resident Dawn Blanchard was moved to host an event in Busselton after seeing the support her relative received from the Leukaemia Foundation.
“Light the Night is a beautiful event that brings people together to show their support of those touched by blood cancer,” she said.
“The lantern walk is just magic along the jetty, so moving.”
Attendees held gold lanterns to remember loved ones lost, white lanterns if they’ve been diagnosed themselves and blue lanterns were held by supporters.
