A 43-year-old Busselton man has been charged with an attempted burglary on a business and having his face masked with intent to commit an offence.
Busselton Police tweeted on Thursday, January 4, ‘another night, another attempted burglary in the industrial area, another arrest’, followed by the hashtag ‘CCTV works’.
Busselton Police officer-in-charge senior sergeant Jason van Der Ende said the most recent arrest followed another burglary arrest from an incident in the Light Industrial Area the previous week.
A 20-year-old male was arrested for committing burglaries, stealing motor vehicles and other offences, facing a total of 13 charges in court.
Sergeant van Der Ende said it was a pleasing result.
“There have been a series of burglaries in the LIA,” he said.
“There isn’t a rise in activity, it is very sporadic but there have been a couple of different people all who we’ve been able to arrest through police investigation.”
