2018 Busselton Margaret River cricket season | C-grade competition

THE old men of the competition came to the fore in C-grade cricket last weekend when Gareth Stewart (86 not out) and Ray Pes (112 not out) guided their teams to big wins.

Dunsborough, Augusta and Nannup all enjoyed big victories, with the Margaret River Hawks’ victory over YOBS being the closest game of the round.

Augusta 4-122 (21 overs) (T. Warnke 71 not out, B. Feenan 32, K. Rogers 3-20) defeated St Marys 118 (36.5 overs) (M. La Motte 33, K. Clively 32, B. Warnke 5-20, B. Feenan 2-13) at Churchill Park West.

Margaret River Hawks 3-209 (38.3 overs) (G. Stewart 86 not out, M. Sorensen 48, M. Jarvis 39, A. Warner 2-38) defeated YOBS 6-208 (40 overs) (J. Bruse 55, S. Maitland 40, G. Evans 37, J. MacKinnon 30, C. Berry 2-25) at Margaret River Nippers Oval.

Nannup 2-160 (27.1 overs) (L. Guthridge 81no, P. Bresser 60) defeated Cowaramup 156 (38.5 overs) (T. Schofield 66, M. Barrett-Lennard 22, T. Rasmussen 2-15, N. Thompson 2-19, L. Guthridge 2-24, L. Wade 2-34) at Cowaramup Synthetic.
