West Coast Eagles players and staff will swoop in to the South West for a series of events this February.
Schools, hospitals, aged care facilities and community groups in Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River will receive visits as part of the 2018 AFL Community Camp.
The club will host a free, hour-long Footy Fun clinic at Busselton’s Sir Stewart Bovell Oval from 4.30pm on Tuesday, February 13.
Children of all ages and skillsets are encouraged to attend the clinic, which will feature a mix of household names and emerging players.
Four-time AFL premiership winner and West Coast midfield coach Sam Mitchell will headline a panel event from 6.30pm at the Busselton Football and Sportsman’s Club the same day.
The 2012 Brownlow medallist and three-time all-Australian will be accompanied by current players as he answers fan questions at the fundraiser event, which will also feature an auction.
Tickets are $20 per person and include a sausage sizzle.
All proceeds raised from the panel event will be donated to the Busselton Football Club and South West Regional Football Development Council.
West Coast Eagles chief executive Trevor Nisbett and recently re-appointed captain Shannon Hurn will carry the club’s final showcase event – a Breakfast with the Eagles – at the City of Busselton Undalup Room on Wednesday, February 14.
The pair will share exclusive insights about the season ahead.
The two-hour breakfast event will kick-off at 7am, tickets are $70 and all proceeds will be donated to the South West Regional Football Development Council.
