Disabled Surfing Association South West surfboard stocks have received a boost thanks to Trade Hire Busselton Motorfest.
Three surfboards, which retail at $800 each, have been purchased for the organisation.
Disabled Surfing Association South West president Ant Pursell said the new boards were a welcome addition.
“The boards we have been using are second-hand and we have been using them for 10 years,” he said.
“We have also given some of ours to the Great Southern branch as they are about to launch so these new ones will really replenish our stock and make a difference.”
The Great Southern branch will host its first event on February 10.
Trade Hire Busselton Motorfest is an annual not-for-profit event and uses any funds raised to support community projects.
Mr Pursell thanked Trade Hire Motorfest for their continued support.
“They always give back to the community and help out,” he said.
“They just do it quietly, not for the praise, it’s amazing.”
The next Disabled Surfing Association South West event will be held Sunday, February 18 at Bunker Bay, Dunsborough.
