Competitors from Busselton Surf Life Saving Club are gearing up for this weekend’s 2018 SunSmart WA Senior Surf Life Saving Championships in Scarborough.
Tessa Viljoen, Angus Johnston-Walker, Lachlan Murray, Lucy Hill and Hannah Greenfield will represent Busselton at the event and the national titles in April.
Coach Jeff Greenfield said he was hoping for results that were in line with the club’s exception season.
“They deserve to do well, they’ve all progressed really well all season,” he said.
“I expect them all to make finals and there should be a couple of medals.
“Many of our competitors are in the top 10, if not top five so they’ve just got to get it right on the day.”
Angus Johnston-Walker said he expected to do well in the championships.
“I’m confident the training we’ve done has been sufficient to fulfill my goals,” he said.
“I’m aiming for gold but will be happy with a medal.”
