A concert, billed as one that can be enjoyed by both opera lovers and newcomers, will be performed by Cape Harmony Choir this month.
The group will present ‘Opera Pops’.
The show will feature some of the best known and beloved choruses, duets and solos from the entire operatic repertoire.
It will include the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves (Nabucco), The Humming Chorus (Madam Butterfly), The Anvil Chorus (Il Trovatore), The Triumphal Chorus (Aida) and Libiamo (The Drinking Song) from Verdi’s La Traviata.
The duet that topped the ABC’s 100 Best Vocal Hits, In the Depths of the Temple (The Pearl Fishers), will also be performed.
The concert will be held on May 26 at 2pm at St Mary’s Family Centre, Busselton, and on May 27 at 2pm at St George’s Family Centre, Dunsbourough.
