Sponsors sought for 2019 festival

Over the years, the partnership between the community group and the voice of local businesses has grown with key goals to showcase Busselton as a tourist destination, showcase Busselton businesses and entice residents, holiday makers and day trippers to the events.

The Busselton Chamber of Commerce and Industry continue to sponsor and support the Festival of Busselton with their involvement in the annual Float Parade.

The chamber will also be involved in a new event for the 2019 festival.

Busselton Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive Jo Richards encouraged the region’s business community to get behind the festival.

“The festival is really about creating events and it is the events that bring people into town,” she said.

“It is important for the business community of Busselton to get on board with the festival, see it for what it is and support them.

“Sometimes that is in sponsorship dollars but sometimes that’s in kind support, or marketing support, or social media support. It is about us collaborating, and making sure we are all working together to achieve what we all want to achieve, which is a vibrant town, a great experience for visitors and economic growth as well.”

The theme for Festival of Busselton 2019 is Celebration, Collaboration, and Community. The festival will include a line-up of events that showcase the rich history, culture, and lifestyle of the region.

The Festival of Busselton 2019 is currently seeking sponsors for the iconic month-long event.

Festival coordinator Jill Barton said sponsorship of the event was an ideal platform for businesses as it offered excellent exposure.

“It offers the opportunity to align with the mission and values of the festival whilst supporting the local community,” she said.
