Gymnasts from Vasse’s Horizon Gymnastics Club have returned to the region with a bunch of medals to their name after competing in Perth.
The state competition was held at the Gymnastics State Centre in Leederville over two weekends.
The club had 21 gymnasts compete with each achieving either a bronze, silver or gold medal.
In the level two category, three Horizon gymnasts won silver medals and 14 received bronze for their performances.
In the level three division, the club had a gold medallist, two silver medallists and a bronze medallist.
Horizon Gymnastics Club owner Joanne Hill said she was incredibly proud of the team.
“We were up against some strong competition with other Perth clubs,” she said.
“I believe the hours of work and training that each of these girls commits to their sport each week and knowing how difficult it is to perform at these competitions, let alone achieve such outstanding results, deserves praise.”
