Making headlines, then Vasse MLA Troy Buswell resigned as leader of the Opposition.
Busselton Shire Council were accused of being deceptive over its plans for a news $41 million civic precinct. Mr Buswell claimed the shire council was using a new community resource centre to piggyback plans for the new civic precinct.
In Sport, former Busselton Senior High School student Grahak Cunningham finished third in the Self Transcendence 3100 Mile in Queens, New York against an international field of 14 runners. In completing the world’s longest foot race in 46 days 11 hours and 53 minutes, averaging over 107km a day Grahak broke the Australian record by almost four days. He then went on to run an extra 9km after the completion of the race, to break his own Australian 5000km record.
