Beth Hastie took over the role as deputy shire president and a campaign to tackle dog attacks in the Busselton shire netted $900 worth of infringements on irresponsible dog owners.
In sport, sharpshooter Josh Fleay was awarded the Busselton Freight Rising Sports Star award for July.
