There must be something in the water in Vasse Primary School’s staff room.
In the last 18 months, eight teachers have given birth to their own bundles of joy – who may one day join the school’s cohort.
The group of teachers, who are all on maternity leave, welcomed seven boys and one girl between them.
Seven of the new mothers were able to visit the school on August 16 for a morning tea.
Principal Sinan Kerimofski said it was fantastic to have so many new additions to the Vasse family.
“It was really great as a whole staff to watch the new Mums thrive and grow – there is plenty of support for them from the staff, we are one big family,” he said.
“They are all amazing teachers and have been really missed – the students welcomed them back like rock stars.”
The news from Vasse echoes a story from the US this week where 16 nurses, who work together in the intensive care unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, discovered they were all pregnant.
