Wilyabrup winemaker Vanya Cullen may have just become a household name after culinary queen Nigella Lawson praised her graces on the Today show.

Lawson appeared on the show to promote her event at Xanadu Winery during the Margaret River Gourmet Escape in November.

While on the show, Lawson mentioned how much she loved Cullen Wines and seeing how natural and wonderful everything was at the winery when she last visited.

“Vanya Cullen is such a wonderful local character as well,” Lawson told the nation.

Ms Cullen said she was absolutely thrilled for the winery, Gourmet Escape and Margaret River.

“Of course I am totally blown away, and honoured that she has graced us with her wonderful comments, I am so over the moon about it,” she said.

“Wow, she even has a label framed I could not be happier. She has said before she loved the Amber and now we know she still loves it.

“It is such great endorsement of a biodynamics, sustainability family and a great wine made naturally. We love her,” she said.

Ms Cullen said since the plug a lot of people had commented on social media and email but it was hard to quantify the numbers at the moment, but they had been given a great boost.

”Hopefully we will meet up with Nigella. We are looking forward Gourmet Escape, it is the last one that is uniquely Margaret River.”

British celebrity chef Nigella Lawson took to Instagram on in 2016 to tell her half-a-million followers about her love of Cullen Wines from Margaret River.
