Just before 1pm on Sunday September 16 a 5.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Rocky Gully, in the South West.
Tremors have been felt as south as Albany and north as Perth.
The Australian Geoscience Department recorded the epicentre at 12.56pm at the Rocky Gully Station.
Other stations which recorded a tremor included Mundaring, Carlisle, Kellerberrin and Kambalda.
No significant damage or injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
The Bureau of Meterology have reported that the earthquake did not trigger a tsunami warning.
