Members of the community have the opportunity to pay their respects to the nation’s armed forces ahead of Remembrance Day.
The City of Busselton is again hosting a poppy planting sessions in Busselton and Dunsborough to commemorate the event.
The planting sessions will help form poppy installations at Victoria Square, Busselton, and Lions Park, Dunsborough.
Free textile poppy making packs are available from Busselton Library, Dunsborough Library and Busselton RSL.
Remembrance Day marks the Armistice of the First World War on November 11, 1918.
During the First World War, red poppies were among the first plants to bloom in the devastated battlefields of northern France and Belgium.
The public are invited to come along and help plant the poppies from 2pm on Thursday, November 8 in Busselton and 8.30am on Friday, November 9.
