Jayden Davis from CrossFit South West says there has always been a bit of a gap in the fitness industry between building strength/muscle and aerobic based training programs.
"Through CrossFit, we can bridge that gap for people who are looking for more than just one or the other," he said.
CrossFit is a sport and a training philosophy that has gained a lot of momentum in the last few years and is only continuing to grow.
Using a functional style of training, with a broad range of equipment, CrossFit provides people with the opportunity to build strength and aerobic capacity together over time.
Being coached through a CrossFit session provides an opportunity to pinpoint weaknesses, correct and optimise movement patterns, tailor movements to suit individual limitations or requirements and make informed decisions on how you should be training.
"I believe that there is a massive misconception around the importance of strengthening our bodies throughout life and for life," Jayden said.
"I feel there is a strong belief that strength training is solely for the purpose of building muscle and in turn that large muscles are a representation of being strong, this is not entirely true."

"There is a far more important reason for strength training and that is to help our bodies move more efficiently throughout our lives and prevent degeneration in our later years."
CrossFit South West offers one hour sessions, training CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting.
They run morning and evening sessions plus a session on Saturday mornings and CrossFit Kids sessions on Monday and Thursday at 4pm.
Jayden also offers one-on-one sessions and the gym is available for hire for personal trainers and clubs.
"The community of people within the gym are what make it such a great place," Jayden said.
"Although I am fairly new to Busselton, I am really enjoying myself and am lucky to have such good people around me already."
"I'm looking forward to meeting more people and groups throughout the Busselton community."
