Set in a prime location, Western Growers Fresh is a new retail and wholesale fresh produce showcase where you will find quality food sourced from Western Australia with a focus on the South West.
According to one of the owners, the idea for Western Growers Fresh started from their deep love of WA and the bountiful local produce.
"We wanted to showcase the abundance of local produce and delicious local food under one roof," Sonja said.
"We are unique in that fresh produce is sourced from local South West and West Australian farmers and suppliers, with a preference for fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grain, honey, meat and fish, grown, farmed and caught in the South West."
"We also wanted to cook delicious ready to eat meals using fresh local produce, as we saw a real need for this in the community."
The kitchen team prepare ready to cook meals which include stuffed mushrooms and nasi goreng as well as heat and eat meals like lasagne, curries, casseroles, quiches and hearty savoury pies, sausage rolls and vegetarian rolls.
The team also bake award winning patisseries including delicious tarts, pies and slices.
"People want to know where their food comes from and how it is grown and made," Sonja said.
"People are much more aware of the risks of eating imported foods that have fewer controls than our strict WA farming/producing regulations."

The Busselton community is the lifeblood of Western Growers Fresh with them employing more than 30 locals.
The owners love being able to support locals and working sustainably wherever possible.

The team at Western Growers Fresh have received a great response from the Busselton community since opening a little over a month ago.
"We'd like to thank everyone who has been in our shop and those that have given feedback," Sonja said.
"As a new business, there are many bumps in the road to overcome, and we thank people for supporting us."
