Australian television show Colour In Your Life has featured Busselton artist Steve Vigors in an episode which has been released.
Mr Vigors said the show was a wonderful platform for artists to showcase their work to a global audience.
"From the very beginning, even though it was the first time we met, the host Graeme and editor Sophia made Josie and I felt so relaxed, by their friendliness," he said.
"This warm introduction calmed my nerves somewhat - until they said, lights, camera and action.
"It was interesting to experience what goes into producing one of these episodes. Five hours of filming condensed to 24 minutes is a feat.
"I am glad I wasn't the editor; Sophia did a great job."
Mr Vigors said it was quite confronting filming the show because he had to think and paint while answering questions at the same time.
While he felt apprehensive about seeing the show he was excited when he found out the episode was ready to be released.
"It was a surreal feeling watching myself paint and I cringed many times," he said.
"There is always things that I thought I could have done better, but I guess that's how it goes."
The episode has been viewed almost 5000 times on YouTube since its release and has attracted many Facebook and Instagram followers.
"Feedback received has been very positive and encouraging, with a viewer saying she was keen to do one of my workshops when she next visits Australia from Canada," he said.
"I also feel the episode has provided good exposure for our region which fortunately coincided with Yallingup's recent accolades.
"It was fortuitous that the piece depicted in my episode was of Yallingup Beach."
