It was an easy choice for Robert Reekie who has decided to run for a second term as City of Busselton councillor.
Mr Reekie loves this city and loves being able to have a say and play a role in its future.
"It is a very exciting time in Busselton with a lot of major projects underway, which I would like to see through to fruition," he said.
"The airport is going to be a game changer and bring prosperity and jobs to the region.
"It has been an honour to be part of such a positive, hard working, dedicated team and look forward to a further term representing the community."
Mr Reekie said his first term on council was challenging and a major learning curve.
"You are expected to make unbiased decisions, not just the easy ones, but the extremely hard ones as well for the betterment of the community," he said.
"I am proud that I have done this and stand by every decision that I have made."
There are still many things Mr Reekie would like to see worked on by council.
"I believe getting the balance between sustainable growth and lifestyle is very important. We have the fastest growth rate in WA so we need to make sure the social wellbeing of the community grows with it," he said.
"Re-activating the CBD, sporting facilities, bike networks as well as traffic congestion."
If re-elected Mr Reekie will continue to represent the community by attending to as many things as possible.
"This makes for a very visible, approachable presence which provides a good conduit for residents with inquiries or issues to be heard," he said.
