Sailors from as far as Perth and Augusta joined the Geographe Bay Yacht Club for the start of their 2019/20 sailing season.
The proceedings kicked off with a ceremony hosted by new commodore Barry MacLennan who welcomed club members and guests.
Following the opening ceremony and sail past the new commodore, sailors took to the water to compete in the club's Patron's Cup.
Top honour was taken by a sharpie Amber Dreams, captained by Laurie Francis, along with fellow crew members Rob Nail and Josh Beard.
The biggest fleet of the day was the Windrush 14's, which saw about a dozen catamarans competing, with many of the fleets sailors visiting from other country and metro clubs.
The club have a number of training courses coming up for anyone who is interested in sailing.
From October 19 until December 14, the club will be running a tacker's course for children aged between 7 and 12 years and a separate course from November 3 until December 22.
On Sunday October 27, the club will host a Discover Sailing Day to attract new participants to the sport.
A training course to teach people how to sail dinghies starts on November 2 and runs until November 23.
