Community organisations and services which are free, subsidised or funded are eligible to sign up to a new community directory app.

The app My Community Directory was designed to make it easier for people to find and connect with services and organisations within the community.

City of Busselton deputy mayor Kelly Hick said the app would be a valuable local directory.

"It will mean information is collated and stored in one place that is up-to-date and available on a single app and website," she said.

My Community Directory executive director Brentyn Parker said the app was designed to takeaway frustration people felt trying to find out what was happening or about services in local communities.

"There are so many amazing things happening in the community, this is a resource to help people explore what is in their local community," he said.

To download a copy of the app send a text with the word 'App' to 0488 884 151 or to sign up your service or organisation go online to mycommunitydirectory.com.au/.
