Round 9 of the Busselton T20 Corporate Cricket competiton at the Vasse Sporting Complex was underway with the Fine Legs batting first against the Swingers.
Shaun Scadden hit an unbeaten 28 at the top of the order, while Dyllan Johanson hit 17 at number 3.
Marc Ford hit an 18 ball 25 to also retire and Adrian Graham came close, being dismissed for 22 runs.
Darren Cummins hit a 6 off the first ball he faced (no pressure with the free hit first ball rule) to be 10 not out.
Aiden Fraser was the pick of the bowlers for the Swingers, with 2 for 10 from his 2 overs, with 122 runs the target. Tom Begley and Fraser opened the batting in the run chase, and 42 runs was put on for the first wicket when Begley was bowled by Sheriden for 11. Fraser retired on 26, Bailey Sanford did the same with 29 and a retiring Dave Mackay hit 26 to have the Swingers cruising in reply.
An unbeaten 11 by Joyce saw the Swingers home in the 17th over, cementing their spot on top of the ladder.
Game 2 had the Match Fixers batting first against the Lemons. Coshott, (25 retired), and Perkins, 14, opened the batting and were 27 after 5 overs. Thirteen runs from Azza Smith and 25 from Dylan Sieber, pushed the total to 108 runs.
Jess Dornan, 3 for 13 from 2, Ben Horrocks, 2 for 9 from 2, and Rhys Johnson, 2 for 10 from 1.4, were the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, the Lemons opened with Simpson and Gerrans and these two put on 35 before Simpson was bowled by Perkins for 20. Gerrans hit 21 runs while Paul Christenson hit an unbeaten 25 at number 6 to steer the Lemons home in the 15th over.
Game three was the Bin Chooks up against the Jack of All Trades and the Jacks batted first after a successful toss of the coin.
Dave LaMotte hit 15, Kyle Potter struck 19, while Tomlinson, 25, Alex, 25 and Wayne Howell, 26, all retired, to take the total to 154 from the 20 overs. Two for 11 from 2 overs from former wicket keeper Chris Brook was the standout with the ball.
Ash Leaney was back to his hard hitting best, and retired for 25 off only 11 balls. Twenty-five retired from both Brett Dancer, and Chris Brook, while 28 retired by Sean Beckett, and the Chooks won in the 14th over.
Last match of the week was the sparky grudge match, with the Heavy Rollers up against the Son's of Pitches.
Pitches batted first and Bassell, 40, and McLeod, 25, both retired. Sills and Hyde also were undefeated with 25 runs to their name while Bunga Wood and Thomas both hit 16 in the total of 178 runs.
The Rollers were never in the hunt, and with wickets falling in regular intervals, the Pitches won their first game of the year.
