Rocky Ridge Brewing Co general manager Melissa Holland has been recognised as one of WA's emerging leaders in this year's Telstra Business Women's Awards.
Ms Holland is one of four finalists in WA in the running for the award and if she wins, will be invited to the National Awards in Sydney.
For 25 years, the Telstra Business Women's Awards have recognised more than 3,000 exceptional women in leadership, who have transformed business from all industries across Australia.
Ms Holland was recognised for striving to make positive changes at the Jindong brewery through sustainability, innovation, diversification and collaboration.
She said it was great to be named a finalist in the awards after going through several rounds of interviews.
"I thought the first round was really exciting, then to get through the next few rounds was really quite humbling," she said.
"It was a really great opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, we don't really do that, especially after going through such a rapid growth type scenario that we have had.
"It is hard to believe we are not quite three-years old yet, it feels like it has been a decade, it has been a roller coaster ride but a lot of fun."
Rocky Ridge Brewing Co was started by Ms Holland and her partner Hamish Coates who turned his family's old dairy and beef farm into an onsite brewery
"This was something Hamish was really passionate about, he had dabbled in home brewing but had never taken the next step," she said.
"He picked up a position at another local brewery, where they taught him everything he knows, we are very thankful to them as well.
"We had to do something with the farm and the brewery just slotted in."
Ms Holland said she was really proud of the team at Rocky Ridge Brewing Co.
"They come up with amazing ideas and crazy things they want to do and they always work," she said.
"It is very much a team effort, I would not be here without my team and the support of our industry and community, without them I would not be up for this award."
Winners of the 2020 Telstra WA Business Women's Awards will be announced on Tuesday, March 31, at Crown Perth.
