We are into finals now in the third season of the Busselton T20 corporate cricket competition and the first team to progress was the Fine Legs after a relatively comfortable win on Monday afternoon. The Jacks batted first, and made 8 for 97 from their overs, with Wayne Howell the mainstay with 23 not out. Robbie hit 11 not out, while Darren Cummins took 3 for 4 to be the standout bowler for the Fine Legs. Skipper Justin Chandler only conceded 10 runs from his 2 overs.
In reply, Darren Cummins continued his great game, hitting 25 before retiring, and he was joined by Adrian Graham, also 25 retired. Dylan Tomlinson and Jason Hills both took 1 for 8 from their 2 overs, but the Fine Legs were too good, scoring 3 for 98 from 16 overs.
The Fine Legs will now take on the Swingers next Tuesday night, with the winner to play in the grand final on Friday, March 6th.
Last nights game saw the Match Fixers, playing finals for the first time, were taking on the Bin Chooks, with the winner to take on the Lemons this Friday night.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the teams, captains, supporters, families and sponsors of the Busselton T20 competition. We will be hosting the grand final on Friday, March 6 from 4.30pm and encourage all families to come down to watch and support. Bouncy Castle, face painting and other activities will be free for everyone, while another great game of cricket will be played.
