The unofficial Jazz Band Club have donated money from its last gig to Busselton Hospice Inc.
On a sunday afternoon, more than 100 people would pack into the Old Dunsborough Hall for a performance that included Melissa Touma on vocals, Bob Boyne on drums, Sean Lillico on piano, Kevin McDonald on bass and Mike Weise on sax.
Great supporters of the band were Roger and Lynne Sheen and they were also cared for by the Busselton Hospice at the end of their lives.
In their memory the band decided to donate funds raised from their last gig on March 14 to the volunteer run hospice who provided great support to Roger and Lynne and their family.
Busselton Hospice Centre coordinator Leanne O'Shea said its services were free for people receiving palliative care, grief or bereavement.
"In return, we rely 100 per cent on community donations and fundraising, so donations like this one are vital to keeping our doors open and are very gratefully received," she said.
