The Junior Soccer Competition is just around the corner and Busselton City FC Junior technical coach Steve Farmer invited players to "Be a professional player for the day".

It was a full day of learning, throughout the day and players were given an insight into the life and demands of a young academy player.

This included player education on match analysis, nutrition, injury prevention and recovery as well as practical ball sessions.

Football West Leeuwin Cape Naturalist community participation officer Juan Bautista Propato is excited for the under 6 gala day for new players that will be held in Capel on May 1.

Propato is in charge of the development of the region for three years with a focus of developing local coaches, volunteers and increasing the amount of players, particularly females.

"We have a number of talented players and we would like to see them playing for the Soccerroos and Matildas in the near future," he said.
