BUSSELTON’S new Community Resource Centre was officially opened on Thursday evening with a sundowner at the venue.
Mayor Ian Stubbs unveiled a plaque to commemorate the event and welcomed the community organisations that make up the inaugural group of tenants, calling the building a great addition to the City of Busselton.
“It is architecturally stunning, it’s highly functional, it’s environmentally friendly and perhaps, most importantly, it’s welcoming,” he said.
“As wonderful as this building is, it’s the people who occupy it, and the human interaction that takes place within its walls that brings it to life.”
He also thanked Lotterywest for the financial support which made the centre possible, contributing $4.5 million over two years towards the project.
