If you are dressing up for Halloween tonight look away now, because Halloween is not for me.
In our office I am wearing the tag of “Halloween Grinch” with pride.
I just do not see the appeal in celebrating and worshipping all things spooky and ghoulish.
Can someone explain why you would want to dress up as a vampire? Or a zombie? Or a werewolf?
None of these things appeal to me and fake blood gets all sticky after a while.
I’ll admit, a four year old in a sheet with two eye holes cut out is cute but when I see a 15 year old wearing it to ask me for lollies – it is just sad.
Where is the fun in being out after dark, looking like a fool and demanding lollies from strangers?
If anything that sounds like a horror movie just waiting to happen.
Why do we have to embrace this American holiday just to have an excuse to celebrate death and darkness?
Actually for many, it is just an excuse to party.
The WA police have put out posters for those who want to participate and I’m wondering if our office printer does billboard size.
I for one have got my fingers crossed for rain tonight.
And don’t even get me started on the Ebola nurse outfits.
