GEOGRAPHE Bay Football Club succumbed to their first defeat of the season as they were beaten by Bunbury Dynamos on Sunday.
The Seasiders made a flying start to the game and took the lead in the opening seconds when Jarrod Brough struck left-footed from the edge of the area that left the goalkeeper with no chance. This was the wake-up-call that Dynamos needed and they soon began to gain control of the game. They scored twice before half-time with a well placed header and a great shot from outside the area.
Geographe looked vulnerable in defence and Dynamos caught them out with some good long-range passing. They raced into a 6:1 lead and it looked as though a couple of the Geographe youngsters' heads may drop but to their credit they started a comeback. Brough hit a superb second and then soon completed his hat-trick with a simple finish. Sadly, Geographe ran out of time to try and claw any more goals back, but it was the Dynamos who deserved the victory on the day.
Coach Jon Snape will be hoping that his youthful side pick their heads up and learn from the experience of playing against a much more experienced side who at times out-battled the Geographe side.
Retravision Man of the match was Jarrod Brough who showed deadly finishing skills and a willingness to run at defenders.
