VASSE Primary School had fun with fiction last week to celebrate Book Week with students and teachers dressing up as their favourite fictional characters.
As part of the celebrations students brought in their favourite book for their Book Week picnic to read and share their favourite stories at lunch time with their fellow classmates.
Students from the whole school were involved in writing a book about their adventures at Vasse Primary School, with each class completing one page of the story.
Prizes were handed out to the students for best dressed and a scavenger hunt which involved the students finding a book and scanning the codes to their iPad to find the authour and title.
The fun week of activities engaged the students with a wide range of books and fictional characters from superheros, fairy tales to modern classics.
Book Week is run every year in Australia by the Children’s Book Council of Australia to bring children and books together and celebrate children’s literature.
