FAST internet is ramping up in Busselton, with thousands of businesses and residents now able to connect to the national broadband network for the first time using fibre to the node technology.
Busselton’s NBN network first arrived in June 2015, people living in Ambergate, Busselton West, Port Geographe and Yallingup East could already connect.
An additional 2200 businesses and homes in Reinscourt, West Busselton, Yalyalup and Bovell are now eligible.
Telstra Area general manager Boyd Brown said the services around Busselton would give people the opportunity to use new and emerging technologies.
“The switching on of NBN services opens up a world of new technological opportunities for businesses and homes with super-fast internet speeds,” he said.
Vivid travel manager Catrina Dale said her employees were constantly on the internet to check websites for the best travel deals.
“The super-fast broadband speeds will enable us to provide a quicker service for our customers,” she said.
