GET ready to get on down at the first ever Dunsborough street party happening at Hannay Lane, on Friday November 4.
The party is a free community event being held from 5.30pm to 8.30pm with local restaurants providing delicious street food and a licenced bar.
Entertaining the crowds will be music by Me and Mr Nick and DJ Mutchy, face painting for children and a live mural painted by artist Sammy J Allen.
Event organiser Mandy Edwards said the street party hoped to enhance Hannay Lane, which was a unique little space in Dunsborough.
“There are so many opportunities to make the lane way a vibrant place for people and businesses, that encourages social interaction, sustainability and creativity,” she said.
The Hannay Lane enhancement group have worked with UWA landscape architect students and local creatives to develop concept designs for the lane way, which will be on display at the street party for feedback.
People are being encouraged to walk or ride their bikes to the event.
The road will be closed from 12pm-11pm. For further information, contact Mandy Edwards on polleymandy@hotmail.com or Trish Flower on admin@dycci.com.au.
The event has been organised by the Hannay Lane enhancement group.
