Peter Rundle is expected to take out the seat of Roe after Saturday’s WA Election.
The Nationals candidate held a 64.92 percent majority when counting finished on Saturday night, with 61.18 percent of the counting completed.
Mr Rundle addressed supporters at his function on Saturday night, saying the Williams Bridge, the Hopetoun causeway and the Esperance Jetty were of high priority to him.
“Hopefully it looks promising for the seat of Roe,” he said.
Following the redistribution, Roe is comprised of the abolished seats of Eyre and Wagin.
Eyre was abolished as a result of the one-vote one-value reforms and divided between Central Wheatbelt, Kalgoorlie and Roe after a redistribution of electoral boundaries for the lower house was completed on November 27, 2015.
The seat of Wagin has been held by retiring Nationals MP Terry Waldon since 2001.
