Busselton and Bunbury Tennis Clubs are set to host the National Tennis Seniors Championships in January 2020.

Busselton Tennis Club member Michael Reilly said it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and the perfect way for the Busselton Tennis Club to showcase their newly constructed tennis centre.
“We are expecting up to 1000 entrants from all over Australia plus a growing number of international players,” he said.
“So there is plenty of work to do and the Busselton Tennis Club will be relying on volunteers to make this a great event, if anyone is interested in helping out please get in touch.”
The 12-day event will feature a teams carnival which will include a doubles competition for women and men with group divisions ranging from 35 years to 80 years old.
The prestigious Australian Seniors Championships will follow the teams carnival. This event is an International Tennis Federation (Grade A) tournament.
The tournament will be offering singles, doubles and mixed doubles events in five year age brackets from the age of 35 years.
More than 1,000 tennis players and supporters are expected to take part in the championships and enjoy high quality tennis and a range of social events during the tournament.
The unique opportunity for Busselton to host the 2020 Championships came as a of the new tennis club site which is under construction along the Geographe Bay foreshore. Over 40 tennis courts will be available for use in Busselton.
