An illustrious list of artists from the northern hemisphere and closer to home will captivate crowds this June long weekend when Jazz by the Bay returns.
Dunsborough, Busselton and Margaret River will host a feast of live music entertainment as part of the festival, which is in its seventh year.
Critically acclaimed Australian-American vocalist-composer, Chris McNulty, will perform at this year’s festival for the first time.
She has been hailed by musicians, peers and critics as an artist with a unique vision, boundless creative energy and a distinctive style.
Sought-after jazz trumpeter Ashlin Parker from New Orleans will also experience his first Jazz by the Bay and his high energy engaging performances will be sure to wow music fans.
Event Director Cindy Wiese said 2019 was shaping up to provide one of the richest musical experiences yet.
“Visitors can expect a choice of over 40 music, wine and gourmet food experiences over four days," she said.
“We’re a bit different to other music festivals because our region’s food, wine and beauty are features of the program alongside the incredible music talent.
“There’s also a rich range of both free and ticketed events planned to appeal to people who love music, dancing and live performances, to the true jazz aficionados."
The festival welcomes the return of New York-based Nerissa Campbell, who enthralled jazz lovers with her performances last year thanks to her ethereal vocal and song writing style.
She’ll be joined by fellow WAAPA graduate and award-winning Afro-Peruvian drum specialist Daniel Susnjar, who wowed guests at last year's Jazz by the Bay.
Other show-stopping, foot-stomping events include Caves Road Collective being transformed into a swinging dance hall when Perth’s Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys hit the boards and and soulful vocalist Holli Scott presents Euro Jazz Club at Rustico at Hayshed Hill.
The free two-day One the Green concert will also return to Dunsborough.
Tickets to the events at Caves Road Collective and Rustico at Hayshed Hill are now available from stickytickets.com.au.
More events, artists and venues will be announced in coming weeks.
Jazz by the Bay will be held from May 31 to June 3.
