The Yallingup Boardriders 'Big Wave Invitational' was close to being held this Monday with a large four-metre swells pounding the shores.
However the swell direction and raw conditions just weren't up to the standard required so the waiting continues for a bigger and cleaner day.
A list of locals chargers are on call for the next big day with the event to be completed in one day.
There has been some great waves this week at Rabbit Hill, Bubble, Smiths and Carpark with plenty of ground swell and some clean offshore winds producing some epic conditions.
The full moon has been creating large tidal ranges from super high tides in the morning to very low tides by the afternoon sessions so there's been a lot of water moving around in the ocean.
Some of the local riders also headed down south to Denmark to tow into the powerful Right which is one of the world's biggest and best reef breaks with massive barrels.
It was also a dangerous mission with a jet ski getting swallowed by a large set wave and lost to the sea. Luckily all riders and photographers survived to tow another day. Let's hope these conditions continue for a classic winter.
Forecast: epic conditions on Thursday with ENE winds and a new, solid 2m groundswell. Friday winds tend to the NE with more 2m swell. The weekend brings a NW change and some wind swell then a large 5m swell hitting the coast on Sunday afternoon.
